Humanly speaking, it seems like God often makes bad choices when it comes to people and circumstances. He seems to delight in underdogs, no-names and long shots. The book of Corinthians tells us that God chose the foolish, weak and low in this world – that’s us. The result is that salvation and the church itself always seem to be teetering on the brink of ruin, irrelevancy and obscurity. We just look and feel so fragile and feeble compared to the world around us. And that is just the way God likes it! Join us as we prepare for Christmas by considering the whys and wherefores of God’s unlikely and unexpected choices.
